GERMAN WWII ARMED FORCES WATER BOTTLE WITH ORANGE CUP.

The aluminium felt covered bottle stamped ‘LSB41’ at the neck, complete with its felt covering. Webbing carrying strap with metallic clip. The leather fittings to the felt are in black pebbled leather, complete with its rare orange cup, to the top of the cup the maker’s code of ‘GFC.’, which was Julius Posselt of Gablonz, full information on the reasons for the different colour cups can be found in Ausrustung volume 1 pages 184 and 185. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
