GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE SPORTS KIT.

A complete sports kit for a member of the Luftwaffe. The Luftwaffe blue grey canvas duffel bag with its rope neck closure and metal clipping, with the original owner’s name ‘JG (Jager) ‘Hahn’ attached on a wooden block. The bag contains the issue running plimsolls in their original brown canvas bag, a pair of black swimming trunks, Luftwaffe sports vest with Luftwaffe triangular eagle attached, towel, which is ‘WH’ stamped with various other markings including armed forces acceptance stamp, a set of short ankle socks with two white bands and one red band indicating sizes. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
