GERMAN WWII MG34/42 ALUMINIUM AMMUNITION CAN.

A good undamaged ammunition can all in aluminium in a light grey green colour. Some abrasions and losses to paint as can be seen by our web images. Three letter coded ‘HDK’ with waffen amt stamp to the lower field of the upper part of the can underneath the carrying handle. All leather fittings to all three handles complete. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
