GERMAN WWII AFRIKA KORPS BELT AND BUCKLE IN EARLY HEAVY GREEN.

A very good example of the early green webbing waist belt for the Afrika Korps, the belt stamped size ‘92’ in red ink with further red ink markings to the clip end, which are indecipherable. The buckle is standard stamped steel with olive drab paintwork retaining approximately 50% of its original finish, fitted with its matching early green webbing tab. Shown in Ausrustung volume 1, page15. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
