GERMAN WWII MEDICAL M.42 COMBAT HELMET.

Originally sold by us to the collector who has parted with this collection, a fantastic totally original M.42 helmet, white painted with a red cross to the crown. This helmet originally from a house clearance in the United States, the U.S. veteran stated that it came from the Battle of the Bulge area and the veteran’s name was English. Virtually all of the white painted finish remaining with the exception of an area to the right hand lower skirt, as can be seen in our web images. Various other abrasions. Complete with its original size ‘56’ liner, which does have some slight leather rot to the lower part of the liner, original wearer’s name hand applied to the liner. Complete with its drawstring and two parts of its broken original strap. Sold by Regimentals in 2014 and now re-offered. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
