BRITISH WWII COLDSTREAM GUARDS OFFICERS BATTLEDRESS BLOUSE.
A 1940 pattern battledress blouse, a label to the interior faded but the date would appear to be ‘1942’ size 13, worn by a Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards. Nap thin overall, one major moth hole to the lower right hand side of the left hand upper breast pocket as the tunic is viewed and large moth holes unfortunately on the lower back panel. It was never converted to open collar wear, complete with Coldstream Guards white on red shoulder titles, double Guards rank pips to either shoulder board, formerly the property of Kenneth George Frederick Kendall, who achieved the rank of Award Substantive Lieutenant on the 26th May 1944, served in the 5th Battalion from the 6th March 1944, wounded in North West Europe on the 22.7.44. Medal ribbons include 1939-45 Star, North Africa ribbon with 8th Army numeral attached, France and Germany Star ribbon. A short potted history of Kendall and his service place in the upper right hand pocket.
