GERMAN WWII AFRIKA KORPS M.41 FIELD CAP.

A highly desirable 1st pattern Afrika Korps visored field cap that is sun bleached, worn by an enlisted man in an artillery unit. Standard blue on tan Bevo woven cap eagle, correct 1st pattern Bevo woven cockade with an inverted V in red waffenfarbe surrounding the tropical cockade. To the left hand side of the cap the twin air vents have lost their original tan paint, to the right hand much of the tan paint to the grommets still in place. To the interior there is evidence that the cap has been heavily used. Only very faint traces of the maker remaining but we have been able to ascertain that it is the maker of Lago.
