Smith’ with his service number stamped into the rust coloured lining. Complete with its silk label ‘Type A2 Made by Poughkeepsie Leather Coat Company Incorporated Air Force U.S. Army’ with all of its drawing and contract numbers. jacket still has its leather hanging loop. The complete Talon zip in place and working correctly. All of the cuffs and the bottom band excellent with just slight nicks to some of the cloth of the bottom band. The interior lining has service wear but generally undamaged. Slight fading to the coloration of the brown leather to the right hand sleeve and to the upper left breast, this could be resurrected with leather colour if so desired, otherwise a lovely untouched WWII famous flying jacket.
