42cm marked blade. A good condition fighting knife marked ‘Anton Wingen Junior, Solingen’. To the opposite side etched into the blade ’42 ER’ into the outline of an artillery shell with the lettering ‘DEUTSCHER BRUMMER’ followed by ‘DRGM’. Some minor sharpening marks to the fighting edge of the blade, with its stag grip. The scabbard, which is of the unique style with the throat opening to accommodate the single sided cross guard of the dagger retaining virtually all of its original black paint with some minor restoration. Good leather to the belt loop, hilt retaining strap and knife retaining strap to the scabbard. Restoration to the single lower throat retaining strap.
