GERMAN WWI BADEN ENLISTED MANS PICKELHAUBE.

A nice condition all leather pickelhaube for an infantryman in a Baden Regiment. Good skull, both peaks securely attached to the main body, no congealing to either front or back peaks but light crazing. Matching gilded brass finish to the back strap, non removable spike, circular spike base, large griffin style Baden front plate and front peak trim. Complete with its national and state cockades, the state cockade appears to have been refinished. To the interior the 9 tongued liner all intact with its original leather drawstring, good colour to the interior shell. The helmet size ‘54’ stamped to the rear peak. Faint traces of an owner’s name.
