POLISH WWII PILOT’S BRACELET, IDENTIFIED.

A lovely item being a white metal bracelet with the central feature being a Polish pilot’s badge, to the right of the badge is a facsimile of the Polish pilot’s cap badge, to the left the King’s Crown with the RAF albatross below. To the reverse engraved ‘To Marjorie from Czeslaw 17th March 1944’. All very nicely displayed on a separately applied mount within a presentation box, gilded to the upper inner lid silk ‘S.Smith & Sons, Diamond Merchants Jewellers and Silversmiths and Watchmakers, 85 Strand’. The manner in which it is mounted is flexible, when the lid of the box closes the mount compresses with the bracelet upon it and raises when the lid is raised. A very nice item beautifully displayed. An accompanying photograph of a Polish sergeant pilot, hatless, wearing his collar patches to his tunic, Polish shoulder titles with the Polish Pilot’s Badge worn on his upper left breast. On the reverse side the studio in ‘Blackpool’ the date on the reverse side ‘14th April 1945’ with four lines of Polish script.
