GERMAN WWII FLAK 88 MODEL.

A most incredibly detailed engineer scratch built model of the famous Flak 88 anti tank and anti aircraft gun. From the very rear of the breech to the point of the barrel 76cm in length, from the base to the upper hydraulic recoil ram 31cm, width to the armoured shield 31cm, length of the fixed base 76cm. This is a professional made model, the breech opens, the weapon elevates and traverses, the barrel recoils on its mount and springs back into place possibly by the use of a spring inside the upper recoil cylinder, the quality of the breech itself this has been cut from one piece of steel, the armoured shield appears to be constructed from sheet brass. Some slight attention needed to the two lower recoil cylinder which appear to be slightly loose on the body. Whether this is an exhibition model or an original factory model is not known to us, what is known is that the item is absolutely superb. There are no maker’s marks anywhere, however at the front and rear end of the base there are what appear to be cartridge caps utilising the manufacture with the stamping ‘Howitzer 9mm. The whole construction is in three metals, aluminium, sheet brass and steel, close inspection is reccomended.
