Seven documents including citations and official documents plus six official and private letters. Iron Cross 2nd class citation to Gefreiten Kruse as part of 6./Schtz.Rgt 64, dated 28th June 1942, pen signed by Unit Commander. Black Wound Badge citation A5 size, slight rust stains, dated 7th January 1942, folded once, accompanied by the forwarding letter to his home address acknowledging the awarding of the Wound Badge in black. Panzer Assault Badge in bronze A5 size citation, folded once, slight rust stains to 6.PZ.GREN.RGT.64 dated 8th October 1942, original indelible pencil signature of General Major Angern, an official letter sent to his mother in January 42. Official letter ( very frail) on the Arbeitsstab Stalingrad headed notepaper to his mother sent in February 44 saying that enquiries were being made via the Soviet Union and other international sources as to the whereabouts of the son. A very scarce set of documents, the Arbeitsstab Stalingrd was the official army organisation set up after the surrender at Stalingrad to attempt to trace whatever had happened to those taken prisoner or missing at Stalingrad, as the Soviet Union did not recognise the International Geneva Convention regarding the treatment of prisoners of war and at least six other various items of documentation.
