GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN ARTILLERY MANS PICKELHAUBE.

A nice condition small size all leather pickelhaube, crazing overall to the skull but no distortion of indentations. Both the front and back peaks firmly sewn to the bowl. All field grey patinated finish to the back strap, removable artillery ball top, circular spike base, front plate, front peak trim and buckle straps. To the interior the liner is complete, 9 tongues, no rot or losses. Nice colour to the interior bowl, stamped size ‘53’. Very faint traces of an army group roman numeral stamping but slightly indistinct to be absolutely sure of its army corps. Indistinct army corps markings within a rectangle to the back peak. All complete with its matching national and State cockade.
