GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN ARTILLERY MANS PICKELHAUBE AND COVER.

A small size all leather pickelhaube, skull undamaged but minor distortion to the shape of the front peak and the rear peak, both of which are firmly attached to the main body of the helmet. All the fittings are chemically patinated field grey with ball top for artillery with its chinstrap and field grey buckles. One kink to the front peak trim caused by the distortion, with both its Prussian and State cockades. Complete with its original field cover, which has faint traces of army group markings ‘B.A.X.’ (army group 10) with a faint date of ‘1916’. All clips still fitted to the cover, some age staining on the reverse side. This is the M.15 type cover with the open sides allowing the chinstrap to be passed through. Interior liner all complete, all the tongues are present, no extra holes. faint traces of unit markings to the inner back peak but unfortunately indecipherable.
