GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A huge size Luftwaffe officers visor cap, possibly size 60 constructed in the standard Luftwaffe lightly ribbed material, beautiful condition. One minor unidentified stain to the top of the crown, no moth damage. Some slight snags to the mohair centre band at the rear of the cap. Standard silver waffenfarbe to the upper and lower sections of the mohair band and to the crown. Absolutely matching set of Luftwaffe officers eagle and cockade, standard officers cap cord, matching side buttons. Ribbed edge front peak typical to so many Luftwaffe officers caps. The interior of the mid tan sweatband all complete and undamaged with mild evidence wear use, on lowering the sweatband the original forehead orange cushion is all intact with slight softness, the original wearer has inserted a folded roll of paper to lay between the sweatband and the main body of the hat to make the cap a slightly snugger fit. The inner silk in a light gold, complete with its totally undamaged centre celluloid lozenge with good clear gold lettering below ‘VERKAUFS ABTEILUNG DER LUFTWAFFE BERLIN W9’ with the Sonderklass Erel lozenge below, the lozenge celluloid with no cracks.
