BRITISH WWII AIRBORNE SIGNALS SLOUCH HAT.

One of a pair of pieces of headdress, which came to us as a group, which we have now decided to split belonging to an airborne signals paratrooper of WWII in the far east.. Standard slouch hat with some moth damage, with its original pagri. To the front the plastic war economy Royal Signals badge, to the side is a piece of locally made insignia being made in the three colours of the Royal Signals superimposed with a hand embroidered parachute in white. Complete with its ‘1942’ dated and maker marked liner, broad arrow marked 6 7/8ths in size.
