GERMAN WWI BUGLE.

A superb battlefield pick-up Imperial German bugle, still with its original maroon wrap around the lower part of the instrument, matching maroon wrap around the two leather strap retaining rings, (strap missing). Various indentations. Imperial German eagle oval plate affixed to the trumpet area with the further bell end being covered in a nickel strap, which is maker marked ‘Josef Wensten of Eisenach’. Also hand engraved ‘J.R.26’ Imperial German Regiment 26. A lovely battlefield object, complete with its mouthpiece.
