GERMAN WWII SS CAMOUFLAGE FIELD CAP.

A heavily service worn SS camouflage field cap in the reversible camouflage material. Twin machine stitched ventilation holes to either side. The central seam joining the crown of the cap together has the classic twist to the centre. There is a great deal of colour loss because of use and two pin holes to the front where we suspect an SS cap eagle was at one time affixed. Nicks to the upper crown. The card material that forms the inner part of the peak has, through continuous dampness, congealed and formed a lumpy presence within the peak. Good upper size, possibly 58.
