GERMAN WWII K98 BAYONET, MISMATCHED NUMBERS WITH LUFTWAFFE TROPICAL FROG.

A magnificent bayonet, blade superb, marked ‘E & F Horster 4021’. The scabbard numbered ‘8316’. All blueing remaining. The hilt with undamaged Bakelite grips, again excellent blueing to the hilt with double waffen amt stamps to the upper pommel area, fitted with the ultra rare light tan Luftwaffe coloured webbing frog with the hilt retaining strap. Faint traces of ink markings to the back of the frog but indecipherable.
