GERMAN WWI M.16 CAMOUFLAGE HELMET.

A highly distinctive and unusual pattern camouflage M.16 helmet. Shell size 66, the maker’s lettering is indecipherable. An interesting combination of plum, maroon, fern green, ochre and wide black separation lines identifies this helmet as highly unusual, unusually cracking to the paint more severe on the plum section than any other section. Complete with its original leather banded liner, the three inner pads present but without their inner horsehair pads. It would appear that one of the liner retaining rivets on the left hand side as the helmet is viewed could possibly have been collector replaced.
