GERMAN WWI MODEL 1910 STUNNING TUNIC.

Probably the best 1910 enlisted mans tunic we have ever owned is this large sized field grey model 1910 tunic worn by an NCO standard-bearer in the 19th Field Artillery Regiment. The Thuringen Field Artillery Regiment No.19 formed in 1872, garrison town of Erfurt and part of the 11th Army Corps. The tunic is completely untouched since WWI. Thinness of nap overall. One very minor moth nip above the front right hand pocket as the tunic is viewed, the remainder of the tunic is totally moth free. There is one small depot repaired 3cm square patch inlaid to the lower skirt below the right hand pocket as the tunic is viewed and moth have attacked the red cloth of one of the 19th Regiment shoulder board. The tunic is fitted with its original standard-bearer’s arm patch, which is beautifully embroidered. NCO lace to the collar, NCO zinc discs to either side of the collar. Embroidered yellow ‘19’ with flaming bomb motif to the red stitched down shoulder boards. The Swedish cuffs have at some stage in the wearer’s career been slightly shortened to enable the sleeves to be longer. All original buttons to the tunic. Matching NCO lace to the collar. Fully lined to the interior with a full compliment of size stampings, depot of Celle with a good clear stamping of ‘1.TH.F.A.R.19.’ within a block. A magnificent historic piece.
