GERMAN WWII ARMY INFANTRY CRUSHER CAP.
A pre war tellerform cap converted by the officer into the crusher style. A very large ‘58½’ stamped sized cap constructed from the ribbed material commonly encountered in the pre war tellerform caps, fitted with a very nice set of Bevo woven officers silver wire eagle and cockade. The front peak is of the standard form but of a softer texture, which enables it to be crushed to a virtual flat form. No moth damage to the cap, white piped overall. Evidence of where cap cords were once fitted and subsequently removed. Brown leather sweatband all intact and supple with a multiplicity of unit markings of Infantry Regiment 125 plus a maker’s stamp and date code of ‘38’to the interior. A very good example of a standard tellerform cap that has been converted by the wearer into a crusher.
