A good saddle shaped smoke troop officers visor cap, the upper crown is totally free of any moth produced in a nice quality Melton grey green. The Carmine waffenfarbe to both upper and lower sections of the dark green centre band, also the crown. The matched slightly dulled set of national eagle and national cockade, standard officers silver cap cords, white pebbled side buttons. Complete with its well service used leather sweatband. The cork cushion behind the forehead area is still intact. Evidence of discolouring through wear use to the upper inner crown gold lining, with its centre celluloid lozenge, which is cracked across the centre and has a small section missing. The cap is non maker marked. The Chemical Warfare Branch of the Armed Forces is a rare colour to obtain.
