GERMAN WWII TRANSPORT ATTACHED TO A MOUNTAIN UNIT OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A very nice huge size transport officers visor cap, possibly size 62. Apart from one minor moth nip to the blue waffenfarbe the cap is totally moth free, the one moth nip is to the left hand side of the cap as it overhangs the side button. Good nap to the light grey Melton high quality material. Transport light blue waffenfarbe. Good matching set of national insignia with some frosting remaining with a mountain troops edelweiss mounted between the eagle and the cockade, this has dulled somewhat. Complete with its wire woven cap cords and twin pebbled side buttons. Good high saddle shape front. To the interior the sweatband is of the ersatz variety and although not broken has lost a lot of its imitation leather finish to the canvas backing material. The remainder of the interior is lined in gold with minor age spotting and complete with its undamaged centre celluloid non maker marked lozenge.
