GERMAN WWII PANZER OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A very nice possibly size 56 Panzer officers visor cap, semi saddle shaped, constructed in very high quality Melton light grey green cloth, which displays the panzer pink waffenfarbe excellently. Standard dark green centre band with waffenfarbe to the upper and lower sections. The pink waffenfarbe around the crown appears to have degraded in its nap and although it has very good colour a dark thin line appears on the waffenfarbe in its complete circumference of the cap. A good matching set of national insignia with some original frosting remaining to both the eagle and the wreath, standard officers wire cap cords with twin pebbled buttons. To the interior the soft leather light tan sweatband all intact showing minor wear use. The remainder of the upper inner lining to both the sides and the crown are in gold with its centre celluloid lozenge, which has one small .5cm hole in it displaying a very art deco silver blocked side on image of a German officer wearing the saddle shaped cap. There are ink marks to the interior crown lining where an owner's name has been inked out. The orange rubber cushion that sits behind the forehead is all intact and has only slightly solidified.
