GERMAN WWII NSDAP GAULEITER'S VISOR CAP.

A good service worn Gauleitung official's visor cap of the NSDAP. Approximately size 56. Standard political brown canvas-like material, wine piping for the second highest level within the political system of the Third Reich. Some discoloration to the crown, various scuff stains, one minor moth nip to the Gauleitung wine piping just to the top section above the left hand chin retaining button, otherwise totally moth free, complete with its untouched set of political gilt matching eagle and central cockade with good slightly toned gilt. Undamaged enamel to the central political cockade. Standard gold cap cords with gold side buttons, again retaining their gilt. Standard velvet centre band. The interior with its original celluloid lozenge, non maker marked. The remainder of the gold lining around the lozenge is stained from sweat from the head of the wearer. The original light tan sweatband all in place with obvious wear use to the forehead area. Complete with its canvas RZM ticket. Slight scuffing to one part of the leather sweatband. A good example of this scarce hat.
