GERMAN WWII GERMAN CROSS IN SILVER, WORN.

A scarce but rather worn example of the German Cross in silver produced by manufacturer number 20 C.F.Zimmermann. The central swastika completely undamaged. The ray that sits behind the red enamel disc, which itself is completely undamaged, has lost all of its blackened finish, there is some silver finish remaining to the base star. The '1941' dated silver wreath in good order. On the reverse side the standard number '20' wide tapering pin and four hollow domed rivets. The tone of colour to the award overall indicates that this star has been in an area of a very heavy smoker and has a nicotine colour hue to it.
