GERMAN WWI BADEN RESERVE DRAGOON OFFICERS HELMET.
A most magnificent all leather pickelhaube worn by a member of a Reserve Regiment of the Baden Dragoons. The skull is absolutely superb without any creasing to anywhere on the main body and the front and back peaks, both of which are securely attached to the main body. All of the fittings, which include the back strap, removable very tall spike, spike cross base, large Baden griffin plate, front peak trim are all in white metal. The gilded sections are the four officers stars, the domed chin scales and the Reserve Officers Cross to the centre of the Baden griffin plate. Also the end caps to the chin scales are always in white metal. The helmet is complete also with its national and Baden State cockade. To the interior the green and red lining to the front and back peaks respectively is all intact. The all leather scalloped edge sweatband is superb with some evidence of minor wear and its light tan inner silk all complete without shredding.
