GERMAN WWI BADEN ARTILLERY 1 YEAR VOLUNTEER PICKELHAUBE.

A very nice condition Baden Field Artillery Regiment No.66 pickelhaube. The helmet of large proportions in terms of pickelhaube, possibly size 56. Skull excellent, both front and back peaks securely attached to the main body, slight crazing to the right hand side of the skull at the rear. Nice subdued gilded finish to all of the fittings with its correct clip-over domed chin scales for a 1 Year Volunteer in an Artillery unit with an officers national cockade and a Baden nicely gilded officers serrated gold and red cockade. The interior has its 9 tongued liner with leather supple, all intact with its original drawstring with a label attached to the inside for a 1 Year Volunteer ?Bleichroth? of the 4th Battery, Baden Field Artillery Regiment No.66. Unidentified rubber ink stamping into the rear peak, which appears to be ?4th Battalion? with the initials ?JB? hand applied in the same area. A lovely helmet.
