GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN TRAIN RESERVE OFFICERS PICKELHAUBE.

A large size Imperial German pickelhaube for a Reserve Officer in Train Battalion. The leather skull slightly sunk to the crown with some creasing in that area, the front and back peaks without congealing and securely stitched to the main body. All of the fittings match, the front Prussian plate with its Reserve Officers Cross with a pre- prepared sunken section to take the cross to the breast of the plate. Domed chin scales, front peak trim all match in colour complete with its national and State officers cockades. The ersatz style scallop edged sweatband all intact with the inner silk, which has shredded in places. The interior of the skull itself is felt lined.
