WWII GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD.

A magnificent condition German Cross in gold manufactured by Steinhauer & Luck of Ludenscheid. This example by Steinhauer and Luck is considered to be one of the later war versions of the German Cross, the quality is superb, the hollow rivets on the reverse side are applied in a rather crude manner, nevertheless the gilt to the '1941' dated wreath is excellent, the enamel is totally undamaged, all of the black finish to the ray and the silver finish to the star are complete. To the left of the lower leg of the swastika, one minute spot of oxidisation.
