A well service worn paper grouping belonging to Gefreiten Kurt Groten of Paratrooper Panzer Artillery Regiment Hermann Goring. The rare citation, A5 size, once folded, frayed edges for the Luftwaffe Ground Combat badge, regimental unit stamped, awarded 12.3.1945 with ink signature of the Regimental Commander. Rare late war field printed citation for the Iron Cross 1st class, frayed edges, section missing from the top, paper sealed together at the central fold to Kurt Groten, now part of the Stabsbattr./FSCH.PZ.ART.RGT.2H.G. dated 6th April 45, pencil signed by the Major and the Divisional Commander. Iron Cross citation 2nd class, late war field printed citation A5 size, once folded, very frail to the centre fold, dated 1st April 1945, Groten was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class on the 1st April, the Iron Cross 1st class on the 6th April with identical Divisional Commanders signature, accompanied by the German Riders badge citation dated March 1943. A small double sided paper pass dated 19th March 1945 showing the recipient in civilian dress, plus four excellent portrait photographs in Luftwaffe and Hitler Youth uniforms, one showing all three awards being worn. At the beginning of April 1945 the division fell back from Silesia and was engaged in very heavy fighting around the town of Bautzen east of Dresden.
