GERMAN WWI M.17 CAMOUFLAGE TRENCH HELMET.
A good AL64 shell, which has the remains of its trench camouflage finish, loss of paint to the front visor area and thinness to the remainder but clearly can be seen the green, ochre and brown areas separated by wide black lines. To the interior the 1917 period white three pad liner is all intact on the metal liner band, remains of the drawstring are in place, most of the tongues are either split or have the tips missing, the inner horsehair pads also missing. An untouched helmet. Ex Michael Baldwin collection.
