GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN GUARD PIONEER NCO?S PICKELHAUBE.

A good large size marked '57'' to the interior skull, NCO's helmet for a Guard Pioneer Unit. The skull is generally good with some slight distortion to the right hand side of the spike as the helmet is viewed but no actual damage to the skull. Both peaks are securely attached without congealing to the body. All the fittings, which include the back strap, non removable white metal spike, circular spike base, large Guard white metal plate with NCO's overlay star, front peak trim and all strap fittings all in white metal. The cockades fitted are of NCO style both national and State. To the interior the front and back peaks are lined in green and red, an officers liner is fitted which still has good colour with evidence of wear use and slight shredding to the fitted inner silk lining.
