GERMAN WW1 PRUSSIAN FIELD ARTILLERY NO.1 1 YEAR VOLUNTEER PICKELHAUBE.

A magnificent condition all leather pickelhaube, non size stamped or pencil marked but possibly size 54. The skull is absolutely superb, slight congealing to the front and back peaks but both peaks are securely attached to the main body. All of the fittings, which include the back strap, ball top, circular base, Prussian front plate with cut out crown, domed chin scales, which is correct for Field Artillery, peak trim all match in colour. Both of the cockades are the enlisted mans variety. To the interior the multi tongued NCO or 1 Year Volunteer liner in excellent condition complete with part of its original drawstring. To the interior of the helmet in between the two screws of the front plate is a large label, which reads 'EINJAHRIG-FREIWILLIGER' (1 Year Volunteer) with the name of 'Oels 7.Batterie'.
