A good all leather pickelhaube with chemically patinated field grey fittings. Both of the peaks are securely stitched to the main body with its national and State cockade, original chinstrap with the fittings matching the helmet in colour. The interior leather liner is in good light tan colour. All tongues complete with its original drawstring. A highly unusual regimental stamping to the inner rear back peak. The manufacturer has stamped their name to the back peak, the army depot have used stampings rather than rubber ink markings to identify the unit, the markings are as follows: B.A.8 (clothing depot 8) TR.A.8 with two separate dates of 1915 with a size stamping in ink 53.
