A standard army wehrpass issued on the 21st February 1940 To a soldier born in 1909. Page 12 showing all of his unit services, showing that on the 19th August 1942 he was serving with the 2./Jager Bataillon 2 in the defence of Dieppe. This was the famous raid by the allies comprising mainly of Canadian forces, which ended in disaster. After Dieppe the soldier was transferred to Russia where he was killed on the 1st March 1943.
