GERMAN WWII ARMY GENERAL MAJORíS GREATCOAT.
A fabulous quality expertly tailored heavyweight greatcoat for an Army General Major. Standard configuration of two lower hip pockets at an angle, deep turned back barrel cuffs, false belt at the rear, dark green collar, a double row of six general side buttons. The false buttons on the right hand side are of a type with the shorter shank as they do not need to be used for a next layer of cloth to go through and are there purely as decoration. The closure buttons also of six rows, the buttons have longer shanks. Complete with its red collar interior facings, General Majorís celion and silver weave shoulder boards. One moth nip to the upper right hand shoulder close to the shoulder board, otherwise the coat is moth hole free, it does have some small areas of nibbles to the nap of the cloth but no other direct holes. To the interior the coat is fully lined in high quality grey silk, complete with an interior dagger hanger strap and a hole tailored through the right hand pocket lining, unfortunately the D ring on the strap is missing. A superb item of Generalís uniform.
