GERMAN WWII SA DAGGER WITH FULL ROHM INSCRIPTION.

A rare dagger, the blade has the early Eickhorn logo, which is partly obscured by some corrosion at the lower half of the logo, the same corrosion is on the reverse side. The Ulles Fur Deutschland central etched motto is good, clear and deep. The full Rohm inscription is also good, clear and deep. The blade unfortunately has been abused in other areas, both edges have been sharpened. The blade also is 9mm shorter than standard, clearly at one time in its life the tip has been broken and the blade has been reprofiled. The upper and lower grip mounts in early nickel with the faint stamping of the group area ‘HA’. The grip is generally good with slight chipping to the SA inset. Good quality national eagle. A small chip is missing on the rear of the grip, upper right hand side. Fitted into its scabbard, which was an anodised scabbard, which has lost all its finish. One of the fitting screws to the upper mount is missing, the other screw having its head missing. The two screws to the lower mount are complete. Indentations to the ball on the lower mount. Also the throat of the upper scabbard mount has received an indentation on both sides. Nonetheless this is a rare dagger being offered at approximately half the price it would be if it was unabused.
