GERMAN WWI SOLDIERS GAS MASK.

A nice clean example of the soldier’s gas mask of World War I, the filter retaining much original field grey green paint, profusely marked and dated 26th of March 1918, some light rust to the upper part of the filter. The leather facemask good eyepieces undamaged, all the blue coloured elasticated head strapping complete, fitted into its tin which has a pair of spare lenses fitted into the inner upper lid container. At least 50% of the paint remaining to tin. all its catches complete and working correctly, strapping missing.
