GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN BELT AND POUCH SET.

An extremely nice thick heavyweight combat belt, which is 100cm long with faint remains of a marker’s mark, fitted with a brass and nickel Prussian buckle that is with its original leather tab, maker marked and dated ‘1915’. Accompanying the belt is a very good matched set of the GEW98 rifle ammunition pouchs in pebbled brown leather with all matching steel D rings and steel fittings. Both match dated ‘15’, one maker in Breslau good and clear the other maker difficult to ascertain. All of the closing tabs, full length and supple, nothing broken, on one pouch a single rivet out of two that holds one of the reverse side straps to the main body is missing its pin, the plate is still in place. To the interior of one of the pouch lids it is army group marked and dated ‘1918’. An excellent set of a mannequin.
