GERMAN WWI BADEN ENLISTED MANS PICKELHAUBE.
A nice condition very large size, stamped size ‘58’ all leather pickelhaube for an enlisted man in a Baden Infantry Regiment. Good strong leather skull with both peaks securely attached to the main body, some creasing to the front and rear peaks. All of the fittings in field grey, which include the back strap, removable spike, circular spike base ( one field grey fixing stud missing from the circular spike base), large Baden griffin style plate, front peak trim and buckle fittings. The helmet is fitted with its correct national and Baden State cockades. Unusually no kinks to the interior of the front peak trim, complete with its 10 tongued liner, which is all intact, some splits to the points of the tongues. The helmet is clearly marked ‘58’ to the inside in two places. Correctly army group marked ‘B.A.XIV’ (Army Group 14) with the date ‘1916’. The helmet is also size stamped ‘58’ on the interior of the rear peak.
