U.S. 9TH AIR FORCE PHOTO GROUPING.

A set of publishable photographs, each of these photos having to the reverse 'Passed by censor' stampings and some annotation. The set clearly pertains to an airman who served in the U.K. and there are numerous photos including some of English country cottages which are in themselves absolutely stunning and very evocative of the period. There are also pictures with a British bobby. Other photos of photo examination being undertaken by 9th Air Force personnel wearing overseas jackets of British manufacture with 9th Air Force patches. There are numerous photographs of functions with female civilian persons being invited. There is an award ceremony, photographs of dancing, other photographs of plotting, many of the shots are of everyday life and show wonderful uniform details. There is a good grouping of officers and sergeants clearly about to undertake field firing all wearing M1 helmets, many of the officers having rank bars to the front. There are pictures of hair cutting and one very nice group of three with the central figure wearing a beautiful A2 jacket with a squadron insignia to the front breast. The clarity of these photographs is very good with a total of 27 in all.
