GERMAN WWII SS MANS DAGGER WITH SEMI ERASED ROHM INSCRIPTION.
An ultra rare dagger being the SS Model 1933 mans dagger with blade by Boker of Solingen with half of the full inscription present and just the name ‘Ernst Rohm’ erased, as per the Orders of 1933 after the execution of Ernst Rohm the Leader of the SA. The blade is generally good, all its original profile, complete full length. The ebony wood grip is excellent with an undamaged SS runic inset, high quality national eagle, heavy early quality nickel mounts, which match the nickel mounts to the upper and lower scabbard fittings. All of the anodising to the scabbard is present and complete with its black leather hanging strap, of which the clip is ‘DRGM’ and ‘Assmann’ marked, also complete with a black belt loop. To the rear of the upper cross guard is the stamped number ‘6743’ we have investigated the SS service list and unfortunately both the number prior and the number post to the 6743 identify the original owner but 6743 is missing from the SS service list.
