CANADIAN WWI BRITISH MADE CANADIAN MODEL 02 COMBAT TUNIC.
A very nice condition upper medium size model 02 tunic in superb condition with no moth damage, excellent nap to the cloth, all Canada buttons fitted, Canada brass shoulder titles, standard white cotton lining which is service stained. The remains of the manufacturer’s paper label with the faint date of ‘1917’ with the original soldier’s name ‘A.Mcall’, the soldier’s number ‘1078452’. Faint WD stamps to part of the inner lining. It would appear that the lower of the five closure buttons is a replacement. A photocopy of the original attestation paper for Andrew Mcall of Quebec and originally from Glasgow Scotland is with the tunic. It would appear from other papers that he served with the 5th Pioneer Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force, based on this paperwork further research is possible.
