A Q64 shell, the helmet has lain stored for many years but retains all its original paint finish to the skull with the decal virtually undamaged. Slight grazing to the lower chest and to the left hand wing as per our web images, rust bleeding through the lower skirt of the helmet. To the interior the 8 tongue liner still with good bright colour, the liner is size stamped but is indistinct, complete with its original drawstring. The liner, although laying in a barn type atmosphere in Austria for many years is stiff but not solidified. The chinstrap is all complete but is broken. This particular helmet came out of a grouping of three helmets all found recently in Austria, one was a snow camouflaged helmet, the other was a tan ordnance M.42 and this example, all three have the same characteristics with storage.
