A beautiful condition to the exterior 1803 British Infantry officers sword, itís curved blade, which was once blued and gilt is now in plain steel. There is minor corrosion to the area of the tip, one chip to the main body of the blade. Some of the original etched decoration is visible. To the exterior the sword in excellent, good gilt remaining to all of the fittings, which include the standard lionís head hilt, the three scabbard mounts, the leather to the scabbard is excellent and has not rotted. The fish skin grip is good with its original wire wrap. Crown over ĎGRí fretted out coat of arms with the remainder of the hilt fretted. To the upper scabbard mount reverse side the name of ĎD.Currie No.6 Haymarket, Londoní is absolutely clear.
