BRITISH WWI WEBLEY HOLSTER IDENTIFIED.
A very nice Webley Mark 6 holster, ‘Davies & Co’ marked, clear heavy date of ‘1916’, hand inscribed to the front ‘2nd Lieutenant C.W.Langdon 1st/6th Glos’. Slight wear to the body of the holster where the hammer of the pistol has worn through the leather otherwise good and strong overall. With the holster is the complete print-out from the National Archives of his service record, originally serving with the North Somerset Yeomanry, his hospital records show that his date of joining the forces was 10th April 1915, in 1919 records show that he transferred to the RAF.
