BRITISH WWI ENLISTED RANKS CAVALRY BREECHES.
A set of the scarce breeches worn by enlisted ranks in cavalry and mounted artillery units in WWI. Heavy duty khaki, WD marked number over letter with the original owner’s name had applied to the white cotton waistband. There also appears to be a theatrical costumiers oval stamping to the inner upper waistband. zinc buttons for both fly and brace attachments fitted with 1 rear button missing and one front button missing. Good nap to the cloth, one large moth hole held together with cotton in the seat area and small moth nips in the crotch area. To the inside of the thighs the breeches are with extra oval patches to protect the wearer’s legs.
